You can try just torquing them, or just anneal the gaskets and try that.

All 12 in a criscross pattern. The factory manual has it numbered.

Bringing it to the Gap this year? You are only 2 hrs from the Gap from ATL.

with not running a top trumpet, you will be running lean, I would up my main Jet, maybe start with a 102.5, this takes into account the K&N

Thanks Gary, I had it out yesterday and it does seem to be a little lean in the midrange. I attributed that to using the needles from the rebuild kit. I plan on putting the stock needles back in this week. I'll order some new mains. What about pilots?

Still too many bugs to work out before I bring it to the Gap. Working on it though...

as to the pilots stock is #30 and looking at the jetting chart most have gone to #35 and one has the #32.5 of those using stock exhaust systems. so i would go with the #35 and if thats to much come back down to the #32.5.
i still have a bit of a wait for jims pipes so i may end up putting the crappy/rusty pipes on to get it running.
if i do i will be using the 35 pilot and 102.5 mains on my HID with stock motor with pods .
cheers mark

Maybe one of these days folks will learn that the airscrew setting for highest rpm will tell you what size pilot is required... it isn't guesswork. :banghead
