 Post subject: S series ignition swaps?

Would a 72-73 S2350 charging rotor and ignition/ point plate bolt up to a 77 KH400 crank and engine cases? If so are all parts interchangeable? Have a great week members!

If you mean exchanging everything from the engine case out, including the alternator housing, yes.

Would you not have to change just about everything else ??
Points to 77 KH 400 CDI,, same as swapping on a S3 400 to KH 400 ??

It sounds like your CDI is shot? There are some new made parts available. And with the conversion, there will be wiring adaptions.

Yes, it is the same as KH400 to S3.
RH controls need to be changed along with wiring harness, ignition coils. etc.
