OK Guys...
Here is an individual description of each pipe....and at the bottom a quick link to the Public Photo bucket album where I uploaded photos of blemishes.
After cleaning them up (quick 0000 steel wool dipped in Mothers Metal polish), I'll stand by my original rating of a "7.5" out of 10 for overall condition.
Firstly, all three have had the rear hanger brackets welded (nice TIG welds). The welds are on the bottom and not seen when mounted. All three also have EGT bungs welded in. The caps are no longer present (I remember stealing them for another set of EGT pipes a few years ago...sorry), but I know for a fact that brass caps from your local hardware store share the same thread pitch as I have used them...
Left side chamber has indentation/worn chrome where kickstand hits/rests. Also has dent on back of silencer section from axle nut.
None of this is seen when mounted and pipe looks very nice installed. I'd rate this a solid "8"
Center chamber has just a hint of a ding on the bottom center belly section, but is one of the nicest center chambers I've had come through my hands. This pipe I would also rate an "8".
Right side pipe is the worst of the three, and I'd rate it a "6.874632940" out of 10. There is some rash and dents on the outside visible portion. And the typical "Kickstart scrape" down the chrome.
so average them all out and the "7.5" stands....
I loosely mounted the right side and center pipes on the '74 H2 life-time project bike so it gives an idea of what it looks like mounted.
Not terrible, but visible dents are visible dents, right??
Chrome overall is still very presentable. Typical Crappy "denco-quality" chrome, but no battery acid spills to speak of.
Great "rider quality" pipes.
Pricing
Since I am running low on Denco/TNT chambers for my own future projects, and knowing how difficult it is getting to find these things, I'm pricing them at $500.00. (plus shipping) Probably on the high side, but it's got to be worth it for me to let them go.
Jack has first refusal, then a 2nd board member sent me a PM saying if Jack didn't take them, he would...and finally if member #2 turns them down, ironhd80 has a shot.
Here is a link to Photobucket where there are a handful of pics. I only really took pics of the 'bad stuff' as we all know what "good stuff" looks like.....
http://smg.photobucket.com/user/scrambler73/library/Chrome%20TNT%20Chambers?sort=3&page=1oh, and they will come with manifolds (need paint) and I may even have a set of new TNT decals for them to throw in as the originals are SHOT
