Hi everyone.

I know the discussion about this has been going on earlier. But I have never seen dyno sheet comparisons between a 3:1 vs stock and also other pipes.

So, what do you guys think will be the result?

I plan to do a dyno test of my heavily ported H2 Caferacer, and just for fun, wanted to make a little contest prior to the final results.

Let's go this way:

1: PEAK POWER
2: PEAK POWER RPM
3: POWER at 4000 RPM to determine mid range.

As a referance, I must first show you the curve with STOCK pipes. For info, the portwork done gained power, so take that into account if you want to participate in this "contest".

Dyno figure for stock pipes shown below, incl torque curve.

Best regards,
Jorgen

Peak power: 70

4,000: 35

I don't pretend to know what I'm taking about, it's just wild guessing.

Haha, good.

Not much confidence in the 3:1 I see. But it has actually BOTH a scavenging AND a supercharging effect. But stock pipes has that as well.

But more than 30% lower peak power than the stock exhaust was kind of low? But I don't know yet. Will do the test within a week.

Anyone else?

have riden a 3 into 1 H2 (standart excepted the exhaust)years ago, remembered two things: the sound was incredible and the power struggled at 6.000 RPM.

Remember this one is ported, and peak power rpm with stock exhaust is 91 at 7300 rpm. I dynoed a stock H2, and it gave 60 at 6600

Yes... A friend of mine raced the H1 in vintage w/ 3 into 1. As i remember he loved the mid range and was by far no slouch on the track.
