With their weighted ends, put in as the factory did.(of course it is differcult to see this).
Now where is my hacksaw.
Cut up as scrap its probably half a can of beer.

To all the tripple freaks who have sent me a pm and e-mail about the Distruction of the handle bars.
Here are the facts.
About 18 mths ago NZ post put up their International postage rates,so that meant for me posting the
handle bars to the US or pommie land became impossible as the postage far exceeded the cost of the bars.
I was taking so much Sh!t from people about what they saw as postage laundering by me,I pulled
the pin and disposed of the bars.
So now you know,as I have told so many people before.
Case is now fu!!!!g closed.

And not forgetting.
Merry Christmas.
Maybe Santa will put a pair of H2 handlebars in your Christmas stocking.

Don't I know it stevepa, I'm also from Tauranga, NZ. Trying to get large/odd sized things shipped to/from overseas has become impossible, sadly.

The VERY same reason that I stopped making them, with the "volume" of the package and the weight (with the steel slugs fitted) they cost more to post than to make . . . But, they really were perfect :banghead

Thanks Rick for that, now people might start believing me.
It's a great pity as I only did it in the first place to help somebody out, firstly I had to make 20 odd bars to make it viable, even way back then(like last Century)it was going to be marginal that I was going to break even.
The things we do.

Merry Christmas Rick.

It was a different Era Steve as we both know, when I look at all the repro stuff now it gets me depressed! I poured my heart and soul into making so many repro items and few people bought them, I lost money on everything, everyone wanted stuff until I had it reproduced and then with even minimal (15%) profit, most people said it was too expensive and they would search for an original . . . .. that they rarely found  It is Sooooo easy nowadays!!! So many of the new guys restoring bikes wouldn't have stood a chance 20+ Years ago, no Internet, no Ebay . . . If you wanted something you had to write letters or make countless phone calls! :o

How very true Rick, how times have changed.
I can remember rebuilding a Z1R way back last century with no computer,no ebay from way down here
in NZ.No mean feet.Started with a battered wreck as this was all there was to go with.
I wrote hundreds of letters to people asking about parts etc and trying to find information on the bike.
People today are spoilt with all this access to info and parts etc.
I can remember when I had my first lot of cnc machined brake parts made for the Z1R,I marvelled at
the machining.Nowdays its all to common and taken for granted, how times have changed.
I don't look at the time spent rebuilding these bikes, but the immense satisfaction it gave me,
beaving away late into the night.
Would I do it all again, absolutly, met a lot of great people, just from letters and talking to them over the phone.
Happy days.

As somebody who has recently sold and shipped a pair of handlebars, I can understand. It's the odd shape of the bars that makes for a surprising and frustrating large box that's needed. I don't see a way around this inherent issue! :banghead
