Having informally raced my friends completely stock H2 against the RZ I was on with specII, reeds, and overbore, it was no contest. The H2 spanked it as you guys said. I also owned a really nice RD and the RZ is way beyond the RD in handling and power. It is a real fun bike to ride. The only problem I have is the CA model has such a small fuel capacity compared to the normal one so you only get about 100 miles on a tank. I think if you take a 421 overbore RZ and put it up against a H1, that would get interesting. How about an RZ500 vs the H2 in straight line?

After reading the write up about the RZ350 I am curious about performance.
Compared to a stock H2 with chambers how fast would a RZ350 and RD 350/400 be in a straight line?

The obvious next question would be about the handling of these three (meaning how much better are the Yammies  )?

Stock H2 with chambers, RZ/ 350/ 400 with chambers? Straight line? All being tuned properly?
The H2 will be on the top. RZ will be second and the RD 350 and 400 next in line. There is no way the RD's can compare.

Handling? The RD 350/400 best being so light and nimble but in my experience I am a little too tall for the bike so the RZ feels better.

Not comparing apples to apples I can say the RZ can be built up and excite a many of riders.

Now Walms, your Buddies RZ to your 500. That is wide open as we don't know how either is built. Wouldn't you say that is fair statement. How about your 500 and someone elses RZ? Could that possibly turn the other way?

My bike is tuned and not exactly sure what state of tune my buddies RZ is in or what pipes he has...
I've ridden a couple of them though, nice bikes for sure but I honestly think there's more potential in a H1... I'm not really sure why the comparison to the H2? The H1 is closer IMO.
My same buddy bought a Wicked 421 top end and pipes but never did install them... I believe that would have given his bike about 75-80 hp and maybe a different outcome? Hard to say? I'll never know because he recently sold the kit to find his H2 project.

Had a 6 speed RD 350 last year and rode it from Knoxville to Cincinatti and back. With the 6 speed, I had to keep the throttle pinned and awful lot. Would have been better off leaving it in 5th but was only getting 23 mpg as it was. 220 pound rider was too much for it. At 75-80mph my H1 has no problem and can accelerate up hills.
I know this doesn't answer your question about racing but on the street, sometimes you get caught in the wrong gear and the bigger engine isn't quite as disastrous.
