I finally got the lower end stripped, put back together and painted. I couldn't paint the head and cam cover cause I ran out of paint. I chemically stripped the cases. The bodywork is done, the gauges are done, and I have new exhausts. I'm slowly getting there.

Guts:
What paint did you use for your Z1 motor? I have a '72 Z1 that I am currently doing a valve job and reseal and the head and barrels will need painting.
Thanks,
Kevin

I used PJ1 Satin Black Case paint. It's 500 degree paint and I like the sheen. I painted over the bolts because I have a new set and I am going to take them out and replace them one at a time.
