Went out to a local restaurant on Friday. 7 hours after the meal I woke with severe abdominal cramps that progressed rapidly to very bloody diahrea. I rode the Porcelain Honda while camping on the nice cool bathroom floor all night and well into yesterday when I finally gave in and went to the ER. I had e-coli once before ( bad hamburger at MacDill AFB) and the ER doc says looks like I have it again. Doc says no work til Wednesday, bed rest and hydrate, take antibiotics, reintroduce solid foods as I improve. I am better this morning and lightly buttered toast appears to be what works for food right now...

Better than e-boli.

I had food poisoning once. It was probably the worst I've ever felt. :e9

Sorry to hear this Tim.
I got rear ended at a stop light Friday and would prefer the e-coli.
Last time I got into an accident was about 20 years ago and was rear ended at a light that time too.
40 years of driving and I get hit twice; glad I wasn't on the bike.
Once again the time honored expression holds true:
Most people suck…

Thanks to all for the kind words. I am on the mend. I tolerated scrambled eggs and toast well today and hope to be able to eat some chicken and rice tonight. The blood is diminishing as are the cramps. I spent most of today napping and doing my on line traffic school. I plan to return to work on Wednesday.

Yes Moo, 2014 has been year of the traffic citation... :banghead :banghead :banghead I got pulled by a Trooper in my hometown for running a redlight back in August I didn't run. Here in the Commonwealth running a redlight is a 4 point infraction. I have a total of 9 vehicles of the 2 and 4 wheeled variety registered and insured. I also have a 21 year old son who wrecks cars, so long story short, I can't afford for all my insurance to go up and I didnt run the light.
So I hired a lawyer. We were able to reach a compromise before trial. I agreed to pay court costs and complete on-line traffic school in exchange for the Commonwealth Attorney dropping the charges.
Court cost$64. Defense attorney fee $360. Traffic school $34. It aint about justice, it's about revenue. The original ticket cost was $164, including court cost. But I saved myself a moving violation that would have driven my insurance up for years...
