Thinking about an RV. What do you think about this?

That is really nice - and a cheaper than the Airstreams we're looking at.

Ha Steve, you have a point. I assume Charlie knows it'll get about six miles per gallon. Maybe seven at at steady 55 mph.

I can see the fun of it but, for the same money, can't you just fly to five star hotels ?

Especially if you have pets that you don't want to pay to board while you are traveling this is a great idea. Plus food/wine/beer/ from Costco etc... and hitting the road is way cheaper than hotels if you are traveling for an extended time. I'm getting a fifth wheeler like one of these next year to haul my 2 bike's around as we travel, with 2 husky's.

I see your point. I just hate airports, TSA agents, renting cars and hotel rooms. I am a bit of a germaphobe. I actually pack my own pillow when I travel! Besides, I have to fly all the time for work and have several months worth of hotel points.

I probably won't get it as it is not very practical. Just something I always wanted to have. Kind of like a boat. I went on trips a few times with friends and did a few NASCAR outings. It was a blast! I imagine the novelty would wear out fast, but since this is priced so cheap, unloading it a few years later would probably fetch near the same coin. Still thinking about it.

Charlie, you might take a look at the market next time you're in Florida. I was given a perfectly good 1988 31' Winnebago by a friend because used motor homes down there are hard to get rid of.

Thanks for the info Jim. I was hoping to stay in the 2000 or newer range.
