He sealed them, said he welds plugs in, I dropped them off and he acted like it was no big deal doing pipes.

That's beautiful, the absolutely perfect way to display a fantastic bike. I want to do that with my H2 but I can't stop riding it. ;)

The new owner requested that all the fluids be drained and the motor fogged before shipping it so probably won't be ridden again for quite some time. I put 10 miles on and worked out the kinks first. He is in his 30s and single and said any woman that doesn't like it is not marriage material. Nice to find someone of that generation that appreciates these relics.

I would have shipped it with empty cases. The bike will not see the light of day...and heck, lots of uses for a tranny, new crank and pistons :P

I'm 34 and I'm stuffing a 750 into a Katana frame. There's a few of us left around. new bikes run great but they just don't have the soul. something about actually working on them seems to complete the experience
