Thanks fellas. I went to partzilla and ordered almost every piece that was still available for the H2, the price was shocking, :shock:but I wanted it as right as I can get it, I've always been funny that way. :D

It's funny how bikes effect people.

I saw a H2 on the showroom floor, and thought "pretty bike". By the time I got a triple (1978) I had gone through my hot rod car phase and was just starting bike hot rodding. So when I see a stocker, I see a blank canvas, and almost nothing is left of the bikes as almost everything needs upgrading to actually be a fast, safe, fun motorcycle. And something that doesn't look like any other bike. If I spend money on a bike, it better haul ass, stop on a dime, and able to drag a knee in a corner....... :P

If I were going to replate stock CDI housings with a Caswell kit, I think I'd use something durable like electroless nickel, and then polish them. Of course it wouldn't mimic the original look, but the original plating was chosen because it was the cheapest thing they had available.

I work at a concrete place and I grabbed a gallon of the stuff we use to clean the dried concrete off the trucks. I think it's muriatic acid. The stuff at the cement plant is way strong, I'm not sure of the percent.

Yup, muriatic acid, also used in swimming pools, available at pool supply and hardware stores.

Be careful with that stuff, it is extremely strong, and eats a lot of stuff, if given the chance.
