Anyone ever found a non-Kaw source for new sidecover grommets (Kawasaki 92071-065)? $4 or more each seems slightly extreme.

Reality is that these items are not mass produced and value of NOS material has gone out of sight. It is unfortunate but the rarity of these parts has made it reasonable for repos to be produced... although pricing isn't what you might like to see. Fifteen years ago repos weren't an option.
Consider yourself lucky that $4 is all they cost.

Dean - I used the same rubber grommets from McMaster Carr that I used on the battery box and elsewhere. Not a perfect fit but they work.

There's got to be a mass produced grommet that exact size that is reasonably priced. I'm going to see if I can send one to a vendor to see if he can match it up.

Oh c'mon folks - a few bucks for rubber stuff is cheap. You're gonna spend money on old bikes (and new for that matter).

Let them moths outta yer wallet
