OK, I'm just throwing this out there to help me make a decision. I will be starting my 72 H2 resto project in the near future and my current stock pipes are not great but the Left and Right could be OK for a while. The center has a decent size dent so I'd want to replace it if I keep the stock pipes.

The other option would be to get on Jim's list for Denco replicas. I'm trying to stay as close to stock as possible, but chrome denco's would look good.

I don't need a show quality center pipe, it only has to be equal to the other 2. Will post a pic this weekend.

I would also consider a full set or near full set pending price.

Thanks,
Chris

I assume you're not asking for my opinion.

 In reality, I probably will go with your pipes. I don't think I'll be happy with the stock pipes in the shape that they are in. But if I locate a decent center pipe, it might hold me over for a while.

Too bad nobody has the 3rd Proflow for my set.
Its one of the things that got robbed.
2 perfect NOS pipes and no 3rd one.
Think you could make one Jim???
I know you would need one to copy. Never looked close to see which one I'm missing yet.
:eh:

See which one you're missing first. If it happens to be the center one, cosmetics would be less important. Also, I think the head pipes are not tapered, right? Send cone diameters and lengths, and if they are really Denco shaped cones I can probably help. I know ProFlow messed around with angles between cones, but it wouldn't matter much for the center pipe.

What pipe exactly do you need from proflo? I have a set I'm not using. 1 of the pipes has a small crack at the hangar which is why I took them off. Was thinking of offing them anyways. Love the pipes just did'nt want to bother trying to get it fixed. These are for an h2 and are the chromed version from john

This gives me an idea. How many of us have sets of pipes or chambers laying around with 1 or 2 bad pipes? What if we had a way to post and swap what we have to make several decent sets? For example, I think I have a set of FBG street pipes with 2 of the pipes excellent, 1 not so good. Somebody may have 1 good one that would complete the set in exchange for 2 good Dencos. Ya know what I mean?

bump for a stock center pipe with no dents and decent chrome.

You better be thinking about chambers Chris. I never could find a decent set for my old H2 and I looked for years.I think all the nice ones went overseas.Never could bring myself to pay for the repro ones.

I'll second what Buddy mentioned above Chris. I didn't think I'd want to go the chambers route but have really enjoyed it. I put my nice stock pipes away to save if and when I ever decide to put it back stock. Right now, I'm enjoying it non-stock but nothing done can't be reversed on anything I've changed on my H2. I'd recommend getting on the list for Jim's pipes and you have several options for appearance/ look there once you get them. In the meantime, you could continue looking for a nice used center stock exhaust pipe which will take some time I believe. Your bike runs strong so you'd really tap into its performance potential with chambers/ rejetting! I need to take some pics of my H2 with the new Bandit handlebars installed. battleax/ Joe Byrd really helped me on that area. Moo will be so proud of me...... :o ;)
