This is from Original owner, stored inside at all times, and completely original. I took the Low oil pump cover off to sand and paint as it had a few scratches on it. I cant get over how perfect the whole bike is. Bike runs. :D When I first heard about it I was just thinking its just another rust bucket.Took carbs off and cleaned, Air boot needs replaced, Its a Jewell. So what do you all think.????? 7,350 Miles

That's lovely  I'm assuming that you changed the Tyres? It's also interesting to try and pinpoint the VINs for warning Decal applications, like yours, my lower number bike doesn't have the oil tank decal but it does have the pure gasoline label  (Could you please PM me the engine number? - but I am guessing at KAE00548?

The way people have been bidding on rusted examples, as well as restored ones, I'd fathom to guess this nice original at easily over $10k. Beyond that, I don't even want to try...

Personally, had I come into the possession of this example, and was asked what is it worth...my response...it's worth keeping!

VERY NICE ...........I bought a 69' early matching VIN 005xx from the original owner last year local here in Minnesota, its close to this one but a few more cosmetic fades, I payed 7500 for it thinking these bikes arent easy to find these days and the guy wanted 10k for it to begin with.......I would guess this bike is worth 10k easy in this condition. My bike came with the ALL the documentation from the dealership too which he still had and found in his safe....( original warranty card, invoice for transporting the bike from NJ to MN dealer, sales brochure, original title issued from dealer, and a few photos of the bike back in April of 69' when he went on a road trip with it ) cool bike man :D

Export it to UK: £12-15000 me think. Maybe more. Crazy prize tags there.......

the more I look at this bike... the more I think its a restored bike. little things like no witness paint on the mounts, rear pegs not straight up, the pingle, look under the cap. the neck is a different color then the rest. wrong grips why? isn't there supposed to be a washer under the left rear motor mount nut? I don't buy the all original story. Maybe all the parts original to the bike... I am sure there is more, given a closer inspection.
Mind you these are mostly Honda based observations.

Thats a really nice bike and the paint under the cap on the neck is probably just rusted or faded. I don't think most people back in the day cleaned that. :?:
