On this very early H2 I'm restoring it has a rear sprocket with "round" cut outs like the H1. Could this still be factory original on my bike?

Thanks

Thanks. This 10/71 had a Yokohama rear tire when I got it as well. 7K miles on the bike I wonder why he changed the sprocket. Thanks for the answer keeps me from correcting it after assembled.

How many teeth? Does it look like the lock tabs have ever been played with

Lock tabs looked perfect. When I google 72 H2's and look at pictures I see other ones with the same type of sprocket like this one.

excepted the blue H2 on thispicture has H2C fuel tap to say nothing about the missing knob on the left side cover ...so it's sure the bike isn't in original condition

While we're being picky, I don't think the left carb is supposed to have the "wheel" on the idle screw either...

My turn . . . Hagon shocks! The washers on the headlamp bolts are completely wrong and there are no pips on the chain oiler ;) And the rear sprocket is 100% aftermarket! . . . as is obviously the chain . . . .
