Gorebasm........technically that has to do with when Gorbachev used to come to the US and they made such a big deal out of it........But you could replace that with Gore having a part number$@%!!!............before anybody gets mad, remeber that this is the guy that that said the internal combustion engine is the most dangerous thing man has ever invented..........as long as you don't crash, thats not true.

Moo has the Cylinders back from being bored for Wossners, stage 1 port for now......Next winter a crank, new rods and bearings, maybe reeds, squished, undercut trans, clutch......and some parts re-chromed

Thank Phil

Very Nice!! Love the hydroformed pipes ;) ...are they SpecII's? I have very similar ones, and Bill (Threepipes) and I figured they were SpecII's as his SpecII manifolds fit them nicely. I think our bikes will look very similar! Don't mean to pirate your thread, just wanted to show the similar pipes...

Wow, Nice H2C !!!.......very nice, good looking front hub setup as well

Well the copy thing is odd because I have an H2C tank and seat........and it's been painted as of Sunday.......you guessed it.......75 Candy Purple, love that color.

Those are Fast By Gast Hydroformed Pipes, quite sure, exactly what I have on mine.......they are not the first gen, but 2nd gen I beleive.......whatever they are, I think they have awesome lines and look good on the Bike.

Keep in touch....Phil

Thanks Phil, I'm getting excited about it. The purple is my favorite as well! I stripped and polished the front hub to look like the rear, rather than going back to the stock black look. Stripped the black off the rotor as well, and I think it works nice.

Not so sure about my pipes being FBG. They were sourced off eBay (sold as H1 Denco's  ) without manifolds, and they had the tel tale "SpecII" washers welded on them for spring retention, not the "Denco" style wire loops as they they have now, or as yours have. I did that mod as I thought it looked better, and it worked better with the springs and Redline manifolds I bought to use with the pipes. Bill (ThreePipes) did some beautiful machine work making those manifolds fit the pipes, as well as machining in some o-ring grooves to help control the spooge :eh:

Keep the pics of your project coming...can't wait to see it with the bodywork on. We may be able to pass as twins!

Yeah, I see that on pipes now, the go into the header flange........My FBG's go on the outside of the flange, kind of cool as I think that helps with the splooge situation........your mounting look real similar too.... Bill seems like a sharp guy........have you fired it up with the pipes on ?...........mine had a big gouge in them from when the original owner put them on then kicked it.........kickstarter hit the pipes first kick I would imagine...........bet he was pissed !.............my kick shaft has been bent out to clear the pipes...............

This sounds hideous but worked as you can see...........I sanded that area, mixed up some Pro-Poxy........gotta work quick.........about 5 to 7 minutes in, I got a "Cheese Grater" wood working tool and removed and got the area close to flat before it hardened all the way (thats the trick)..........then I could block sand it by hand the next day........added a little bit more where needed and blocked again........painted it with PJ-1 satin case paint (works on my buddys two stroke mini bikes, we will see, Nice paint !).........sanded with 320......paint and fill the scratchs, sand again.......it was only about 3/16" at the deepest but about 6" long and 2" tall and looked terrible.........can't even see it now.

I see you have the drilled, thinned and cutout rotor (scrambler 73 maybe)......thats way cool........I PM'd him, he was moving, my PHR rotor showed the day before he replied back.......still have my original, may do that next winter

Thats a really sharp bike man, first class............I'll take an H2B or H2C anyday, Had a B when I was young........I think they are more refined.........Gotta love them all though.......Keep in touch

THX Phil

Phil,

My pipes also slip over the outside of the manifolds, similar to yours I suspect. Bill did a lovely job on these and I hope the o-rings prevent the oil leakage. Are your manifolds o-ringed?

I've not heard it run yet. Brian Hilvety is doing my resto, so my bike is in Illinois at the moment...freezing it's a$$ off. I think it wants to be with me in sunny Florida tho. ;)

Yes my rotor was modified by Cody's partner (?) Mark I believe his name was. Sorry, I'm not great with names and it's been a year or so now and I'm old...

Hey Evan's, thanks for the kind words. I hope to have at this years Gap meet with me. Just waiting on the weather to warm up in Illinois so it can be tuned.

Evans/Phil,

The manifolds originally came from Larry (I think?) at Redline Motorsports. Bill (ThreePipes) machined them down to fit my pipes and cut the o-ring grooves in them. I don't see them on their website anymore...and don't recall exactly what I paid for them, but I think about $150 for the set. Don't quote me on that tho :eh:
