Is this service still available H2B, can he do thinning as well as drill the holes yet ?

Is this required to use an EX caliper......which I acually want to have it drlled or thinned anyway.

Also, I just sent my hubs and disk, speedo to be satin powder coated, wonder if I could send it and get it back when done

Does John Aylor make and sell the mounting kit (two brackets) for the EX conversion ?

How to contact

I know Cody had a guy too who did them. asked the same question a few months back, i am sure a few guys, including myself and you, would be interested in having their discs serviced!! Let me know if you hear anything.

If you search my posts for the same, EX conversion, JIM sells the bracket and his work is top notch….not to mention he's aces to deal with.

Yep, Im going to post some questions here soon on doing the EX Caliper conversion........would really like to have my rotors done......some of those Scrambler73 pic's looked really neat with the cutouts and thinning........they have some that have the caliper on the left with the brake line going in the back.....some go in the front......some have the caliper on the right.........looking on ebay, looks like they have a left and a right caliper (swapped around).......would like to keep it on the left and would like to have two brake lines made up and keep the original master cylinder (just rebuilt it today....Moo says 1/2" is good) and keep the original brake switch if possible. Let me know if you find anything and I will do the same. Thats the last big research and parts gather hurdle I have to do on my resto, time to move on it.

Just keep reading posits and ask a general question for any services you need. If you can't find an answer just ask, this board is great and the veterans are loaded with knowledge and resources. go here for everything you mentioned previously and MORE, http://kawtriple.com/mraxl/howto.htm

thats my bike that i rebuilt and fine tuned with all of the tips that i had NO knowledge of when i joined a few years ago.

I have seen other pictures of your bike.......You have it looking really good........The controls look good polished........Are those the new FBG pipes, look a lot fatter than my old FBG hydro formed pipes.......I'll bet they work well........what kind of shocks ?

Why did you mount the EX caliper on the right side ?......did you get a right side caliper?.......I know it does not matter, kind of like to keep mine on the left

My timing has go to be off some days, every time I do something, seems I should have waited. I was researching the EX500 Caliper setup yesterday, looked at some on ebay.......An H2 rotor that is drilled and coated with 3 braided brake lines popped up from Purple Haze Racing (may work for the EX) and a set of Brembo shoes for the stock caliper.....I bought them last night at 5pm for the buy it now price of $189.........Let me see what I get as I still have my old rotor and may want to have it thinned and drilled.

went with the right side set up for ease of routing and it was nice and easy. works so much better than stock with the EX setup.

Yes they are FBG pipes, really happy with them now that i have my jetting sorted out. sounds really nice to my ear, deep and solid….not tinny at all.

Controls came out good, they are a set of rental bars honda dirt bike bars that put me in a nice position on the bike. rear shocks are from a ZRX11 or 12 KYB's Can be picked up for a nice price and work really well.
