A very restoreable 1970 Peacock Grey went on sale at 6:30PM EST today. :(

Hate to do it, but finances dictate giving this one up. :(

WOW, 4 1/2 hours and 167 views?
And 16 people watching it too.

I'm assuming RB and Steve didn't come to an agreement on a price for the bike
since they had a seat discussion. This one will cost plenty to look right.
Hmmm...no reserve, no bids. I'm tempted.

Actually started the bidding at below what Rick said I might get for it.
He said it was a good project, albeit a big one, and the following.

"it's going to be a BIG project, to be honest, it is nothing that I am interested in, all our jobs now are back to originals and your bike has the wrong motor."

I have nothing to hide here, it is what it is and it is worth every penny as it is, to the right person.
I know the tank, even without refurbishing is worth a good few hundred.
The pipes are super solid by the looks except for normal dents they all get. Less than many I have seen.
Fenders are great stainless and the grab rail and seat pan are nice too.
I could part it out.
But if I didnt need the money sooner rather than later, I would.
FACT is, I wouldnt even be having this discussion were it not important to raise funds quickly.

No, Im not going to have a fire sale. :D

Had one offer a good bit over the starting bid already.
Going to let it run its course. He can have it for his offer price if it does not sell.
Willing to chance getting less than he offered to keep it a fair game.

Happy with the sale price? The bidding didn't actually start until the final minute

Me, Im just hoping the guy in Jersey who bought it, did so to restore it. :eh:

RB really knows his stuff, he priced it right about where it ended. :geek:
