Actually, owning some 50 Z-1s isn't all that far-fetched. Years ago I bought an Australian motorcycle magazine in New Zealand which contained an article about an Australian with 19 H2s. As the mag was from 1993 it wouldn't surprise me if he had doubled that figure by now.......

That would be Shane Washbourne, He still has them, but they are a LOT nicer now ;) and yes, 50 Z1's is not too unusual, I have a pal in the U.S. that has 30+ a pal in England has 50+ another in England has 30+ 8-)

I would be happy to have just one Z1. Not a stock bike but with modern suspension like the one
I pictured. Already have contact info of the builder and may be my next project.

My Brother Jim Mosher (he is a big time indian guy, has 30+ bikes, Vincent, Indian's, Arial, BMW's, etc) used to have one in Dallas, had a 1013cc kit in it with some radical cams, smooth bores and pro stock parts in it, was Murano Black......That Bike really stomped and sounded wicked......used to go out with that bike and my original H2 which was pretty rad in it's time and terrorize Dallas.......it was a lot of fun, I could never beat that bike.

They just had a Z1 here at the Concourse De Ellegance in September, won best of the show for a perfectly resto'd bike, it was stock but absolutley perfect, neat bike.

if you get time Google Jim Moshers Indian........I know you like modern superbikes as you build some neat stuff yourself.......this is a double motored, flatheads on nitrous, lectrons, magneto's, six speed trans, big gilmer belt drive, handmade frame, headers, street legal.....bonneville bike, going for the record......he starts it and runs it thru the gears at the end.......
