I just took in a 1975 Honda MT250 that the owner restored and it's not running :o I haven't touched it yet
but was told when it was running it smoked really bad. Has a new top end but I noticed in the service manual
the oil line has check valves. He said it smoked real bad before the rebuild so I'm thinking stuck check valve
or pump not adjusted. Looking at the oil line it doesn't look like it is serviceable. By chance anyone here messed
with one? I did a quick search on ebay and pumps and lines are cheap.

There was no protective covering on the positive battery terminal and sure did make a mess. Found a harness
on ebay already and it should be here by mid-week. Owner said he rebuilt the carb and it has crap a needle and
jets. Good he saved the old jet needle, pilot and main jets so those will go back in. Throttle cable was adjusted
so the slide was almost wide open too. All easy stuff to sort out, these old 2-strokes are pretty straight forward.
Tomorrow I'll go through the carb and then tackle the oil line.

The bike has just 2300 miles on it, I should be able to sort the carb. If not I have a VM30 on hand too.

Have it running good, just waiting for the harness to finish it up. Soon as I took out the crap aftermarket carb
parts and replaced with genuine Keihin, made all the difference. Oil line was plugged up too, lucky he didn't
stick his new piston.

I got the replacement harness in today and the rain stopped long enough for me to ride up and
down the street. Those old Keihin carbs suck and I'm going suggest the owner gets a better carb.
I have a bunch of VM30 H2 carbs but would prefer a new PWK.
