My future son-in-law is in Afghanistan right now. Hopefully coming home safely just before Christmas.

Husson73 - Similar story about my Dad

He was stationed in the Philippines for part of WWII. They were getting ready to invade an island and they were very low on fuel. His group was instructed to siphon all of the trucks so they could use the fuel for part of the invasion. He got gasoline poisoning from siphoning/swallowing thru tubes. This put him in the hospital for a few weeks. His entire unit shipped out for the attack but him. No one from his unit came back.... He only talked about it once.

We owe a lot of gratitude to so many.
