My FLHR ( 95 Road King) it's HAWG Barry :e11 :e11 runs good and other than dragging shite (the footboards and side stand touch first) if you lean it over far enough is stable to the 100 MPH it will do with the windshield on. It will do 105 or maybe a little more with the windshield off and me laid down on the tank. That is as far as I have taken it mostly because there is no need to abuse it and it will cruise comfortably at 90 MPH all day and get in the high 30s for MPG. It weighs 840 pounds full of gas.

I had a new FXST in 1985 it handled nicely for a big fat bike I flogged it a lot, I think I remember it handling a right lean a lot better than a leaft lean , top speed 105 :( got there rather quickly for a big bike too.

HD sold a lot of Buell's there even was a Buell with a single cylinder Sportster engine ,

The Buell BLAST, rumor was HD had to send out a orders to the production dept that if anyone was heard calling it the B-last they would be written up  . The guys doing the testing didn't like testing them I was told it was like drawing the short straw.

B -last thats funny, the Blast with its Sporty motor minus a cylinder was a weird looking thing probly part of the no acceptance too

Local Buell owner told me after the HD/ Buell split that the HD shops are not authorized to service any Buells, sounds like BS to me but the Buell rider was serious.

I believe these bikes are being referred to as "piglets"

As far as India production some of our (Deere) sub 100hp tractors are assembled in India and there has never been a problem with quality.

Hi Jackman, rotortech was right in my meaning.
I was looking at the bike side on from a few feet away and it looked like a Harley but it took me a few minutes to realise it was slightly too small.
The guy dosen't even get grief from the HOG folk as most realise he will probably graduate to the real thing. I had a Street Bob a few years ago but sold it when I started
thinking about a decent frame to put the engine in. Loved the dyna engine but not the general finish on the bike, the XB12 I had for few summers was better finished.

Dyna engine in a Buell frame would have been good.

Most manufacturers have plants around the world, Triumph have a plant in Taiwan for the far east market.

Not sure how Harley could wipe their hands of Buell when I thought they retained the rights to the brand.
