I guess the H1 was revolutionary (style-wise, apart from the rest), in its day!

I realize that I don't represent today's Kawasaki customers, but the muffler alone would make me turn around an walk away, and it's the easiest style problem to fix.

Quote:
The aesthetics of the bike are changed, for the better, I'd say: the new Z1000 is now a tad more extreme, with a redesigned front end which stresses the streetfighter DNA. Some riders could say that the "insect" factor may be too present, but this is exactly which separates those who like Kawasaki's streetfighters from those who don't.

Notes to self for what to avoid when looking for a new motorcycle:

1. Extreme aesthetics
2. Streetfighter DNA
3. Insect factor
4. Any salesman who uses even one of these terms

Edit: Oh no! It has a 1960s space rocket muffler on each side!

To me, the last good looking modern bike was the Ducati 916.

That bike is so ugly it will probably have to sneak up on the pump to get gas. I know, that line has been used before but in this case its true. Guess I'm no longer part of the target demographic for new motorcycle designs.
