It was so hot, Matt says, he’s burned his right leg and had his pants catch fire three times while riding.

I thought the article was real until I read this line:

“Make it work. Harley has always been on the cutting edge of technology, they can figure it out and make it work,” he says.

I knew it was an old April fools joke then. Either way he must be a liar, liar. :e11

Remember, he has owned several Harleys. I think he believed what he said.

While tuning my Harley, I rode with no air cleaner. The fuel standoff soaked the inside of my pant leg with gasoline. I didn't burst into flames. Am I doing it wrong?

At the HD test facility in Talladega Ala I saw a parked/turned off HD suddenly throw out sparks and catch on fire. Apparently the battery bracket had moved/bent through vibration and allowed a terminal to contact the frame.

Good test suppose..... :?

It's probably the 96 inch Harley he was riding, 08-11 they were made.

I had an 08 and it ran a normal temp range of 290 degrees on a street glide. I understand the full dressers were even higher in traffic.
I went back to the dealer and they said it was the normal operating temp, if you can believe that. Lucky for me I got rid of that one for $50 less than what I had in it.

Even my hopped up one runs at 210 any condition

If your 75 years old you may think they have some technology

I guess a freak accident like that could happen to about any bike, but it sure would have made a good YouTube video.
