This happened yesterday on Palomar Mt here in So Cal. It seems like every weekend somebody crashes for lots of reasons.
Check the video at about the 2:20 mark. The guy in front on the Yamaha is running slicks and he looses it after the corner.
If he was riding slower nothing would have gone wrong. He's lucky to not have hit a car or tree. I ride up there almost every weekend and some guys think it's a race track. I hope he learned yesterday and will go and take some track days. When I
was in my 20's I did the same thing, tasted the pavement and slowed down on the street.

I can't watch it because youtube is blocked out here, but I can imagine what happens. I ran slicks there all the time and ran like a bat out of hell too. After being at the track, I slowed down on the street for sure. A friend of mine passed away there when water truck decided it was goingt to attmept to make a u-turn in the middle of the road. I do miss that place a lot. The funny thing is that a lot of the guys that were fast as hell there were actually pretty slow on the track. I can only think of a handful that were fast both places.

That seems kinda consistent, we have the "king of the mountain" guys here too. Either they won't go on the track, or if they do, they are slow.

+1 when I started racing with my H2a on production race there're a guy I knew with an H2B, I couldn't follow him on the roads as I wasn't very fond of riding at 100 110 MPH between two lanes of cars nearly stopped, but when we did both our first race outperformed him on the track :D
