Either the original King Kenny colors or even better Spies Assen M1 in white with red. It's the European Yamaha race colors.

That one is an R1 replica just to get your creative juices flowing..

New bodywork demands a new approach. Lighten the rear end, smaller lighter can, remove lights and or replace with smaller LED/HID. R1/Koso/Motogadget instruments and decent brakes and you'll be good to go. That rear end def. needs to be lightened up and if it's track only/mainly that's an opportunity too good to miss. Plastics are available from Lacomoto for probably as much as the bike cost  :o ;)

Hey Steve, Im real sorry to hear you trashed your bike.

Get well. Heed JAs advice to heal slowly and get well.

Thank you all very much for your concerns and thanks for the advice....Im going to go with the old/old kenny rogers style graphics. Bumble bee.
It should be fun to do and look good.
Im not that bovered about the trashed bike as i did buy it with maybe intending on turning it into a race bike. Its a 89 model which falls perfectly into our post classics class here in NZ (thats why i bought it) The accident has just forced my hand and only cost an extra few hunj for the tank/radiator repair. The race fairing and can will be the expensive bits. Ive allready got R1 brakes which bolt straight on.
Ohlins shock...slicks....fork springs....trailer...$$$$$$ :banghead
Tell you what though, concussion is the wieredest thing. I couldnt concentrate in a conversation for more the 10 seconds, i spent most of my time stareing into space. And if i had a meal and 5mins later you asked me what i had, i wouldnt remember. Constant buzzing in the back of my head, :wtf: very sensitive hearing, very tired. And the morphine (on a drip) makes you itch like hell. They give you a button to push which gives you a small dose. The button was my friend
All good now though, Cheers.

Sorry to hear about your crash and very glad you are able to type and be here from the accident. Take care of your self and rest and recover. I also vote for the Yamaha speed block yellow/ black paint scheme as I think it is very iconic. You typed Kenny Rogers style graphics. :shh: :problem: You mean't Kenny Roberts, didn't you? :o :D The Kenny Rogers style graphics are the Gambler or the Fine time to leave me Lucille stuff. You know, that silver haired guy that had all the hits in the 70's/ early 80's. Sorry, just ribbing you there... ;) 8-) Good you got some good meds and use as indicated/ directed. Pain is no one's friend. Take care and mend up. :)

  I meant Roberts yes  I must still be concussed  . Track is Ruapuna / Christchurch / NZ.
Something like this, with square squares horizontal. Wont be easy to do though with the crevaces. If i can manage, it will be worth it. Hope to have it done for next season about 8 months away. Il post a pic when im done.

I like your attitude. Deal with the "Shirley", when the time comes. Should be a life motto.

Good luck with the recovery. Get back up on the horsie and ride.

GO PRO? Is that a video camera? I have thought about getting one. Whats a good one for a bike? Reasonable price. Ive allready planned a couple of K spend on fixing the Fizzer :banghead  So the camera will have to wait.
