Maybe add some weight above the ski somehow. I remember a neighbor of mine back in the 70's had a twin track snowmobile
and the motor was in the rear above the tracks. I wasn't a good sled for many reasons, mostly it didn't like to turn as well as
a standard snowmobile. It did look cool though. Found one on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPnSHV3gOMk
We need a video from a helmet cam
If you check this one out it has 2 skis and only one track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsO7LGG62Es

Don't fret about doing that then and wait a little while. RB when he see's it will just jump straight on and gun it as he has absolutely no sense of self preservation.

Seen that show before..............

Point him toward the hill he flew the pickle off of.

maybe the ski needs to be lower.. increase the 'preload' on it. longer fork extensions, etc.

guys, there are 120 pounds of static load on the ski at rest, which I bet is pretty stinking close to what this was originally set up at going off of the ad photos. (angle of front end, how "flat" the tracks look, etc)
Any more and its going to REALLY screw up the force needed to even turn the stupid handlebars at low speeds.

Those of you that grew up on early '70's snowmobiles know exactly what I'm talking about. Some sleds just WILL NOT TURN....

One thing we have no idea about is what the original ski looked like on the bottom? Did it have 1 or 2 wear bars/skegs? In the ad pics, it looks pretty freaking "tall" whatever it is?

Well, Mark and I are going to make the executive decision and will more than likely be installing a pair of new carbides (since they are sold in pairs) in parallel about 1" on center from each other. I know without a doubt that will make a difference on ice/hard pack. The only thing you get into with "too much" carbide is she might get a bit "darty" when at higher speeds.

I guess we'll just have to take it easy. :D

and sorry Rick, but the budget just increased by about $85.00. (need a new kill switch/tether too) You wouldn't want us to get hurt though would you? I promise that is that last expenditure.
