I have a 4 cylinder H2 with a 90 degree firing order. I have heard a 180 degree, it does sound like a twin, the 90 degree, it howls.

I set up the crank this way purely for the sound.

The ignition is quite easy for the 180, much harder on the 90, I use two pickups at 90 degrees and two triggers on the rotor at 180 degrees and the bike runs a lost spark on each cylinder. The dyna box thinks the bike is revving at twice its speed so you need to set the ignition curve appropriately. And of course the rev limiter.

thanx jim thats awesome!! and from the rear those pipes look sooo good is that the standard ignition units +1 you got there and how did you go with gettin an extra pick-up to fire it?. or are you down with two pick-ups? got some posts where the guys talk of two pick-ups n two triggers, IE wasted spark I think, what firing order is your bike? I mentioned earlier, Im sure I read a while back simon did a 3/4 from a 250 motor and he added extra point set I think he then altered his firing order to two up two down but my memory may be playing tricks it was a long whiles ago. these ignition problems are mainly whats confusing me I asked b4 if there were any more pictures out there so thanx for these and any more technical data or links or pictures from any of you guys would be great thanx again 341
