Moo, do you mean adding a neopreme washer to either side of the rubber bushings that support the rear pegs? If that's the case, than my bad.

Stainless will work harden from the vibration so it might be a good idea to anneal the area around the hangers on occasion.

I've resorted to generator motor mounts. they are rubber with studs at each end. Sturdy, yet isolated. (The're a Briggs and Stratton part.)

Yep, ALL chambers HAVE to be rubber mounted at the back........ I'm surprised you missed the 100 times it has been mentioned....... :wtf:  :wtf:

Rubber mounting is a great idea that I've never done. Maybe it's one of those things... since I don't mind welding up any cracks that form, none ever will.

Actually, one of the best ways, is to open up the hole, and install a rubber bushing with a steel core. That way the bolt tightens up and the rubber isn't squished like the stock rubber. I have even seen the Denco loop mounts crack. I cut the spot welds, so the loop can move, and rubber mount.

My motto, "if it don't flop, it's gonna drop....."

I just returned from two weeks of hell in the UK,
1, had to take the mother in law all round sodding Birmingham to look at kitchen and bathroom show rooms for the second year running,
2, my back is still hurting,
3, i wanted to hook up with Gary Clark but never made it
4, got two kidney stones that decided to leave the kidney and block the old pee pipe. The back pressure was the worst pain i have ever had, was literaly on my hands and knees sobbing like a baby. Got rushed to hospital and got a shot of morphine, stayed the night and got sent home with pain pills. Two nights later had the same thing happen so back to the hospital. They decided to operate and put a stent around the obstruction. The pain has gone but i cant stop peeing.
4, I have a UK passport so i have nevr taken out health insurance due to the UK having the National Health. Come to find out that because i have been living outside the UK for over ten years Health Service is not free and i will have to pay. They said if i had been an asylum seeker it would have all been free WTF.
5, now back in the USA after a very interesting 8 hours on the plane, will be having another operation this friday to have the stones and stent removed. And i bet you can all guess how they get to the stones and stent, one clue the hole is already there.
Mounting the pipes is the farthest from my mind right now. I will probably have to sell the bike to pay the National Health service off :banghead
