Excellent descriptions. My '73 Dodge van has (yes, still drive it) space under the front seats where the beer went while talking to police officers, and then retrieved after. A hole to the pavement might have been even safer. It's amazing how different things were back then, when the limit was .15% and there was nothing wrong with actually drinking a beer while driving in MD, other than the no-eating-while-driving rule. Obviously I'm not condoning driving while impaired, and in my defence, I never had an accident, or even a ticket, while under the influence.
