Note to self "Do not use neutral this way"!

http://gopro.com/videos/moto/dustin-dom ... cing-2012/

You can increase the quality to 720HD, go full screen and watch the speedometer. Looks to me like he found neutral at about 120 and hit the pavement about 100mph!

I'd never ridden a big four stroke until a couple of years ago at the Gap when Ben left his FJR with me. I take off on it down 28, come to the first corner, let off the gas, down shift and the darn thing dang near stopped :o so I get back on the gas, I'm in too low of a gear, and it just about jumped out from under me-back off the gas again-it stops again-back on the gas,ect ect ect all the way around the corner. It took about two corners to realize I didn't need to down shift and keep it a gear higher than what I thought I should be in for a less sensitive throttle. I showed the FJR total respect all day.

Yep, too many use the motor to slow down. And it is a surprise when you haven't experienced it.

When I started racing in the early 80's it was "interesting" going from my 500 triple to my 1000.

To compression brake or not to compression brake...that is the question.
:?
Delicate touch / trail braking / gear for the tach
;)
Hot through the apex / gone on the exit
:P
Smooth........ :geek:

Two stroke or four stroke, how in heck was he anywhere near neutral at 120mph anyway   That means he must have banged it into second gear at stratospheric speed already   :banghead

A 675 Triumph has about 14,000 rpm to play with, my zx10r will do 100mph in first gear - he was probably going about 90, or so, it is just maths!
