Dumb question, I know but my KH500 came in bits and I don't know where Ignition Box A is mounted. I think B is adjacent to the voltage regulator on the left side of the bike near the battrery.

Follow the yellow wire from the "A" unit.

I am trying to understand where it would be located if it was fitted to the bike. I have the A box mounted but I cannot seem to find the mounting points for the other box. The yellow wire is disconnected.

I understand from others that on the KH500 the smaller unit mounts on the other side of the plate from the larger one.

I tried to mount it tonight but although the hole spacings are the same on the plate to mount the B Box behind the A Box it bangs up against the airbox. However, maybe KH500 B boxes are thinner than the H1E/F boxes?

No, the boxes are the same, other than wire lengths. I don't know why you don't have room for the smaller one on the back.

I discovered that it actually mounts just in front of the battery on two tabs on the left fron edge of the battery box.

I got a pile o parts I have to reassemble. I figure as long as it don't look like this when I'm done I did a decent job.
