I have a reed valve conversion on my 72 H2 (of my own design) and am having difficulty with air cleaner room..The old intakes that I had, had dry rotted and I replaced them with new ones, but the new design is 3/8" deeper and now the carbs sit back too far. (I have 34mm Mikuni round pumpers.) Is anyone aware of shallow intakes like the old type?

They are still an active part number from Kawasaki, pricey but new.

I've got the larger diameter 34mm carbs. I don't think that the originals will work. Will they? I'll measure the O.D diameter of the carbs.. Thank you.

My understanding is that the OE will fit but not without effort.
That is not from personal experience...

They will fit. I have TM34 with stock boots. You want to wet the inside of the boot and they will slip in.

Shouldn't you be able to order something suitable from SUDCO?

I bought my new ones from SUDCO. They're not the exact same dimentions and in my application, that tiny difference matters. (depth). They are very well made and very plyable. I'll use them on another build.
