The 5 was based on a H2 engine, as was the four......

Just my personal opinion, but the owner was a jerk. He actually brought the bike to the Gap because a magazine was supposed to be there. He wanted to get it in every bike mag in the world it seemed. He didn't hang with us, and parked the bike in the front of the resort to get maximum OOOO's and AHHHHs. It was done up very nice, but not as clean as Jim Knights four which Jim did himself. It had to weigh a ton and was wide as a 18 wheeler. I'm sure it was fun in straight line, but I bet Jims four would have eaten it's lunch. I didn't see him ride it "in anger" at all, just babying it around the parking lot.

This guy actually was on the old board for a while, but called us all cheap and left when no one wanted to go in on a 1500.00 front brake conversion...........

Jims four cylinder looked factory. Not too wide. Would have been a nice production bike except maybe with a jack-shaft to narrow it further.
