I bought a 81 Honda 900f last fall and plan on making it into another cafe bike. Delayed this project to build the 72 H2 witch is almost finished. I bought the 900 on ebay cheap and thing runs great.
Don't know why someone had put on 750C side cover emblems on it. Plan on using this to ride back and forth to work a few days a week ( 160mile round trip).
Looked like this last year when I bought it.

Will like something like this after I get rid of 50-75lbs of crap off it

Sounds like a fun project, just leave off the rust-o-matic pipe wrap.

I built a CB750 last year and hated it, what a slug. Motor weighed 230+, thing was guttless but ran like a top. The 900F weighs about the same but about 30hp more. I will have to upload some up to date pictures of the 900. Has CR34mm carbs now, Raask rear sets, Tarozzi clip ons and new chrome cafe race gauges. Plan on modding the tank to match the bike from my sample photo. Picked up a seat that looks close to it too with room for all the electrics and a dry cell battery underneath. Wish there was someway I could get the weight down to around 400lbs but that's not likely.

This photo was from late December/ early Jan. and you can see the 900 in the back ground with the rear sets and clip ons.
