For my trip to Deals Gap this year, I'm thinking of only bringing carry-on luggage, since I have to make a lot of stops from Barbados - Miami - NC - Knoxville TN and don't want to waste time waiting around for luggage or getting it lost, plus Ric is picking me up on his bike, so limited luggage there too.

Soooooooooo, instead of travelling with a bulky helmet, I was wondering I could possibly borrow a helmet from one of you guys, I wear a small / medium.

Also, it seems that me bringing in my local rum for ya'll, might be a problem, coz alcohol will have to be in checked-in luggage, I don't want to do this, coz of the restrictions mentioned above.

Hmmm, does anyone know if Knoxville Airport has lockers that I can rent, so I can put a small suitcase in it and transfer my stuff into smaller bags to fit onto the bike? Still don't want to have checked-in luggage though. But if push comes to shove, then I'll have to do it, and then that will take care of me bringing my helmet. But life would be so much quicker, simpler and easier if I just had a carry-on.

I've got a spare helmet you can use but you'll need one to ride back with Ric.I'll be there at a later date so it may not help you out any.

Thanks Buddy, Ric just sent me a message to say he has a small helmet, just was too impatient to wait for his reply.

You could use soft luggage then fold it up after taking the helmet, jacket etc out of it?

I have a big head so everything is a large...

I do have a Harley 1/2 helmet I never use for many reasons. Among them is I look like a mushroom. I also have a large 1960s vintage helmet I almost never wear either -mostly because there's not much protection (but it goes with the older bikes). always with me: fashion fashion fashion
