Oh, we here will still get the progressive P/C shaft on fuels, no question. Our government will push to get these subsidies and corn grain alcohol use extended, as they absolutely insist they will not allow driling anywhere here. They don't even want what would help us, the Canada to Texas pipeline for crude. They wuld rather see us get energy depleted from no crude, so they can force everyone out of their personal vehicles, and ontio their administered and sulpplied public transportation.

There are two plas to prve/disprove the veasability fo their plans. Plan 1 was the "big Dig" under Boston, proved they could build rail systems UNDER existing major population centers. plan 2 is high speed rail in Kalifionia's Central Valley, outside Bakersfield, to San Francisco/Sacramento, to link the Big Dig type projects together.

A couple of ways they are going about this is to NOT do anything about fuel prices, as in lowering them, and, massive tighter, extremely unrealistic private vehicle emissions standards that simply canot be met.

I am all for keeping the envornment cleaner, and we have made large strides in doing so, but, that progressive P/C plan ISN'T abut the environment, it is about control, total control over everyone here, and, it ain't gonna be good for us. Government madates usually do not help We, the People, they only make life a lot harder for all citizens that are forced to obey them. I think in a lot of countries in Europe, those people are finding out this is completely accurate, and they are looking for ways to defeat the mandates, and remove those politicians that force only their ways onto the rest of the population.

Lets hope that we here in the U.S., can overcome the progressive P/C force now being exerted agaisnt us, and get us back to having a working, functioning nation again.

OUr country belong to EVERYONE, not just the 536 in our higher government, we, EVERY ONE OF US, should have a say in running it, not just the 536. (535 in Congress, Biden is also President of the Senate and is considered a Senate member, and the president, 536 in total)

I am sure someone is making a lot of money off of corn, but it is not the local farmers around here. The amount they get for the corn has skyrocketed but so has the cost of fertilzer, and there cost for the seed. In the end they are really not making much more then they were before the cost of corn went up.

Smokin, I read your post with great interest. It's good to hear first hand the opinions of people outside my country. I understand that the moderators don't want this forum to become overly political, so feel free to email me any time. :-)

I personally wish you had kept your post up. Nothing wrong with sharing Governmental information, it helps to understand the world others live in.

It's the Government bashing, and the eternal Rep VS Dem we don't want to see as that is the volitile stuff.

A few of our stations sell gas without ethanol.I'm using it for the bikes that will be put up for winter. It's 20 cent a gallon higher which sucks. :e4 .
