I need a set of six of the old Wiseco more-than-full-circle Spirolox type piston pin retaining clips for my H2. I called Wiseco, and was told that they not only don't have them, but don't even have the specs on them. Any help is appreciated.

Go figure there's a company called that:

http://www.spirolox.com/ Don't suppose they have piston clips?

Do you really pull them apart a little - then install them?

Those are hard to find Jim. CS-16 (not CW-16) is what you are after. I found some a couple of yrs ago from a sled company out of Canada but a google search I did for you came up empty. I saw other CS sizes but none in CS-16. :( Cody/ scrambler73 helped me out too with some a few years back but I think I may have gotten his last ones.

Thanks Evans. The Wiseco guy told me I need C16, and not SC16. (?) I don't know the numbers myself, but will do some searching. I can get generic metric Spirolox clips, so I figure I can measure the groove and get clips to match if I have to, I guess.

Barry, if I take off a piston, I can measure the groove, and probably get clips to fit. I was just trying to get the parts in hand to keep the bike running while I'm gathering parts. Plus if I could get the original Wiseco parts, I'd avoid any chance of getting the wrong ones.

Not sure what you mean about pulling them apart a little, but yes, Spirolox is a brand name. :-)

Yeah, I like them too, Mark. The Wiseco guy referred to them as "automotive type" clips, like they still sell that type for car pistons. I'll measure a groove and talk to a Spirolox guy to get the correct clip. I was just hoping to have them in hand when I took off the cylinders, to avoid the delay, but heck, I have to hog a bunch of metal out of the intake ports for the reeds anyway, so maybe the timing won't be so bad. I might see if I can get them out without damage, but from what I recall, that would be about impossible.
