Since my oil pump is not primed, what gas/oil ratio should I begin with, 20:1 or 32:1??

Was the engine recently assembled with lube on the parts? If so, you can just hold the pump wide open and idle the engine, watching the oil in the lines. It should progress toward the cylinders in a jerky fashion and fill in a minute or two. I've done that many times, and never put oil in the fuel. As you know, premix causes a leaner mixture, and that doesn't help anything during break-in.

It's been several months since I assembled the engine, but I did lube it up well, could I just fill my carbs with some premix in a syringe until I get the injection system primed? I may be too paranoid.

I'm sure you already filled the oil line from the tank to the pump. When you hold the pump pulley wide open you should see oil advancing in the lines pretty soon. As long as you do, everything is OK. Since you lubed the engine on assembly, you'll see plenty of blue smoke while this is happening. :)

Had to wait another month to get my tank and side covers back from paint, but the good news is she's finished and rumbling. Finished it last night and now it's raining, may be a couple days before the test ride. I want to tell everyone how much I appreciate all the help through this restoration, couldn't have done it without you, maybe I'll try a S2 later on, I put a lot of miles on one in the 70's.

I could probably make that happen, about 11 hrs. from here in So. Arkansas, I've experienced the Tail of the Dragon before, what a crazy mountain ride, we have friends in Knoxville that me and my wife could visit while we're there.

That sounds encouraging. :) It's really a lot of fun with all the 2-stroke guys there, and the Dragon during the week is pretty nice. Of course there are many beautiful rides to go on in the area besides that one. That whole area excellent for riding, and it's darned motorcycle-friendly.
