I ordered an air filter from a reputable vender, doesn't seem to fit well in the box, I may could trim it up and make it fit, is this typical?

I ordered a filter that looks similar to yours.

It was too big to fit, I wrote to the vendor and told them that but never heard back.

I cleaned and oiled the old filter instead.

That filter is not a drop in fit, mine was a PIA. I had to stick a few pieces on just to see how Orange it was, It's definitely ORANGE. :D

Thanks Pecka, we tried to match as close as we could, I'm satisfied with it, time to order a new set of tires.

I'm definitely not a decal man, but after some measuring and taping, I think I got them pretty close, now back for a couple more coats of clear.

They look very good. I think a lot of decal men aren't decal men either. :)

The decals seemed to mellow the orange.

Finishing up some wiring, will the headlight turn on without the bike running?

If it's like my H2, yes.

Thanks, Jim, I have most of the wiring wrapped up, had to buy a new flasher and clean a lot of terminals, now everything is working. Last connection I have is the H4 lamp the previous owner installed, the connector harness in the box doesn't match stock wiring. Can someone confirm looking at my bulb that the left terminal is ground, top terminal is low beam and the right terminal is high beam? Thanks.

Got it all sorted, the wiring I mentioned is correct for the bulb, all the lights are functioning correctly, sanded and set the points, blue spark on all 3 cylinders, time to add fuel and see if this baby will run. Since my oil pump is not primed, what gas/oil ratio should I begin with, 20:1 or 32:1??
