Moving on to engine, I don't have any specialty tools, just a Harbor Freight mic and a fillet gauge, I knew the pistons were in tolerance, mic'd them when I honed the cylinders, when I mic'd the rod side play, I came up with .020. Decided to load it up and carry it to a freind that owns a cycle repair shop and does little machining and boring, wanted him to give me his opinion on my crank. He checked it out, put his good tools on it and said " that must be a new crank", so, somewhere in the past, he thinks someone put a new crank and pistons in it. It shows 21000 on the clock so I guess that's a possibility. He said he would put it back together and do a leakdown test, said I didn't have anything to loose. I decided to look under the motor to see if there was any evidence of a previous crank job, didn't find any scaring on any of the nuts, so here I am, need some other opinions. I will say the motor was stored in a plastic bag inside a plastic tote in a controlled environment, someone put oil on the crank before storing, there is no rust on the journals what so ever, you can see the oil roll up on the crank when spinning the motor. Thanks, Buddy
