I had the power band replaced and changed on my RZ350 to a tight (0.001) clearance yellow one and it really rips good. Now looking at a new power band for my H2 and seems my choices are blue and green based on what the young parts counter boy said at my local dealership. What say the collective? :shifty:

Won’t that one slip and slide as well as leave skid marks at WOT not getting traction? :o

I remember seeing a magazine article with a lot of information about that, Evans. I don't remember exactly what magazine, but it had a cover story called "Jim Rides the Dragon".

I wanted the lime green PB but was told it was only limited to the faster H2 riders. They said Jay Davidson and Ric Brett bought the last two in current inventory.

I used to have a copy of the cover of that magazine and used it as my avatar over at 2SW. I no longer have it on my computer and it’s gone since the crash awhile back at 2SW. John Evans has it though.....

You need the red power band, sadly no longer available new and fits the first two years only. You can occasionally find one on fleabay but they’re huge $$$ NOS. The red has a strong top end hit after a nice mid-range. It still provided a decent idle and didn’t have that annoying mid throttle flat spot.
You have to be careful of buying a used one though, they tend to be rather shagged out and near the breaking point if leaned on too hard. Snap! There goes the top end!

Good luck with your search.
