Well, my H2 has 13.5 inch shocks again, so it should handle, clear the ground in the twisties, and have some spring action. The 12 inch shocks just weren't working on it at all...scraping in the corners and I had to have the springs set tight, so it rode like a log truck.

No kidding. Mine are 14.2"

Adrenaline Jim Hobbs is the man!!! Rebuilt Lakeland Super Regulator installed. Lights are bright. 13.8 Volts DC at idle and 13.4 Volts DC when you rev the motor. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Hate to jump in on a thread like this, but can you put an angle finder on your forks and let us know the rake degrees please? Trying to get a rake/ trail reference for my H2B. Thanks.

put one on yours, 25 degrees is right around the sweet spot of 100mm trail. Dale has the calculator on the reference page.

Yes but with 14.2" rear shocks I'm wondering if he's at less than 25 degrees. Mine is within .5 degree there somewhere and it's rock stable, but gives me the feeling if I prompt it it could get into tank slapper mode. So just looking to find out others that are less, and how they feel to ride. Also I don't have any kind of steering damper on it....

The H triples have some variance in stock rake, but are all at 100mm offset in the triple trees. I have run 15 3/4" on the rear with 1/2" drop in the front, for decades, street and track. This is on a late H1 frame. I'm at 25 degrees and high 90's trail from what I remember.

Just as another data point:
72 H2 - Hammerheads with JA extensions = 14 1/4" shock
26 degrees at the forks; and they both are the same!
FWIW I have the forks out of the triple trees by about 3/4"

And they say these bikes wheelie too easily.

I don't have a way of accurately finding the angle. Maybe John can help me with that at the Gap.
