I'm just glad I had the head light on so the battery voltage went too low for it to run very long. I'd really been upset if I'd been in middle of nowhere when it died.

This no joke ,
I took a machine to an owners club meet and while I was in the museum where we were holding the event three people from the Chester area (uk) decided my machine was going to be the donor for some parts they needed,
they were interrupted before the parts were taken, but leaving the machine in a dangerous condition,
because the bike was a trailer queen for the day the results of their plunder were not found for a day or two . Mucking about with someone else's machine is very juvenile and could lead to serious consequences !
