I have been offered a clean original 1972 H1B ? (disc brake). The owner has not tried to start it during his ownership. I live in Alberta, Canada which has a climate that is very old bike friendly. Many two stroke barn and garage finds have shown no crank seal issues after years of inactivity. Obviously there could be other problems too but it has good compression. Asking price is $2000 Canadian. Worth taking a chance?
Of note, my past has triple ownership. At 18 years of age(1973) I bought a used 1972 H2 from our local Kawasaki dealer. Had lots of fun with that bike and survived. Thanks for any help.

If I had the $2,000 I would buy it.
