I met a fellow a few weeks back that has a nice bunch of old motorcycles. I bought a couple from him then and I went back yesterday and bought another one. It's a 1976 KZ900 that's actually pretty solid and complete. It's missing the handlebars, side covers and pipes. It's got good compression and I think it will fire right up after I go through the fuel system. He wanted $1750 but he settled for $1500.

Seems like a fair deal for nearly a Z1. What is your plan?

It's a fair deal, the '76 KZ900 is less collectible than the earlier Z1's. Still a nice bike - here's mine.

It sounds good and it handles really well with the Koni shocks, they are about 13.5 inches long. Amazing transformation, it turns much better now.

I have another cylinder block bored to 1015cc, a set of KZ1000 pistons, a set of cams and vm29 carbs for it. Hoping to complete the job soon, many motorcycle projects, not a lot of spare time to work on them.
