Cool little bike but shame on Kaw for being a copycat and not the trendsetter.

Kawi was with the Ninja 250. I can understand why Kawi didn't take the lead, I would never of thought people would spend thousands on a pooter scooter, to me it's ridiculous. But people do, so why not jump on the band wagon........

I wonder if it was more of a little revenge for Honda introducing the cbr250 a few years ago and taking a slice out of their market.

You should see the motorcycle magazines in Japan about the Honda Grom !!!!! Full magazines of custom Groms !!! Seems like they are very popular !!!!

Groms are huge and the aftermarket for them is insane already. Kawasaki sees the demand. Typically Honda is the innovator while Kawi waits a couple years then smashes everybody. I'll be the Z125 destroys a grom stock vs stock.

Grom: 9.7 hp, 224 lbs.
Z125: 9.4 hp, 222 lbs.

No clear winner.

(1978 Yamaha DT100: 10.0 hp, 176 lbs.)
