Just back from Japan and saw this in the Japanese Motorcycle magazines.......Yamaha RSR 900 !!!! Modern 4 stroke triple with old Yamaha RZ two stroke graphics and paint ( Kawasaki you listening) ??????? Hard for me to believe Kawasaki just gave away the triple market even if its a 4 stroke !!!! Just Sad !!!!!

Yamaha also just posted a press release, they are back in WSBK racing in 2016, not with this bike, but with their R1. The R6 will race in a support class as well.

This bike is a far cry better than the old XS750/XS850 triples ever were, or can ever be.

I sat on a new one the other day.Never liked the bike at first, hated the way the tank looked from the top sitting on the bike.Reminded me of a Mushroom !!! Starting to warm up to them.It looks like they got the fueling right on the 2015 and 16s from all the reviews and if they make this retro bike,(which by all indication looks like they will), I may have to give it a serious look.It looks like to me from the picture the body work on the retro version may be different and even the tank !!!! I think Jim may have called this bike right. For 8K new you can't beat it !!!!! It's just a shame Kawasaki didn't invest into a 4 stroke triple. They could have made a really cool bike, and it looks like they missed the boat which is a shame !!!!

I like it too but I'm mostly relieved that it's not a rewarming of the horrible XS750 & 850.

I like the look of it...hope the seat has more padding than it seems to - looks more like a MX seat.
