My daughter and I had another great time at the track yesterday. Since last time, she got her motorcycle learner's permit and has been riding with me. So instead of taking photos and videos yesterday, she took turns on the DT100 with me. I got one video uploaded to YouTube so far. It's an onboard video with me riding. I'll get one of her riding uploaded in the next day or so.

Not yet, Ron. It's a magneto points system that works very well. But if it gives me any trouble, I may rewire the alternator to just charge the battery, convert it to 12V, and run a 12V CDI unit on it.

Have you ever tried a 125 shifter kart Jim. Two inches of the ground, 185lbs. 40hp and 0 to 60 in under 3 sec. I loved those things and would still have
one if my ribs could take it. They pull 3 to 4gs in the corners and are such a hoot to drive. Had 10k in my last one and took it out almost every weekend.

I have a '70s Margay Sprint Kart. I put a Honda Elsinore 125 engine in it, with its 5-speed transmission. It's not more than one inch off the ground. Not as fast as the shifters you're talking about, but not slow. I'll probably take it to the VIR track at some point.

Vintage karts are super cool Jim. Post some pictures and take a video when you take it out to the track. I'd like to find a old kart with twin McCulloughs but
you never see them anymore.

Get an old rolling chassis and put a CR85 engine in it. Seeing what that does in m in sc's little 90, I know it would be ideal in a Kart.

I used one of my rechargeable dry cell 6 volt deer feeder batteries in my DT100. Not a good ideal.
Had to install a regular wet cell to balance the system. I guess the dry cell was not enough load. I did find a H4 housing that fit the head light bucket and 6 volt 30 watt lamp to use instead of the high dollar sealed beam. So far so good.

I put stock size Cheng Shin knobbies on it. Another bad ideal, but it was all I could find that would fit. The little bike came out too pretty to ride off road much so it may just hang around the cabin at deer camp and look pretty.
