That's a beautiful bike, congrats on a very tasteful custom. I had a stock silver '78 RD400 back 1984-ish time frame, funnest bike I ever owned. Is that a European tank on it? It looks larger than the stock American tank.

I have to first give credit where credit is due. I picked up the bike from David Hearn (DaveHinCA) . From the receipts and stuff it looks as though he has been working on it since about 2006 but didnt finish it.

I am not sure about the tank, but he definitely copied the Euro graphics motif.

The frame and wheels are powdercoated
all new bearings

fiberglass whale tail (unsure of manufacturer)
custom race-style aluminum gauge mount
integrated tail light/signals

I picked it up for $2200.00 a couple weeks ago
